NUTRITION & LIFESTYLE COACHING

NUTRITION & LIFESTYLE
'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food'
- Hippocrates
"You should never treat the disease that has the person, but you should always coach the person that has the disease".
What you eat, drink, think, and how you breathe, sleep and exercise, all has an effect on the body, positively or negatively. 'One man's food is another man's poison'. If symptoms are showing, your body has turned on it's engine warning light, don't wait until it has already broken down to deal with the cause, learn how to treat it now so that you can enjoy life.
Becky will look at your health holistically (looking at the body as a whole, not in isolation) when coaching you. She will be looking at your physiological load (how much stress is being placed on the body) with the help of a series of questionnaires that she will ask you to complete and will address factors such as:
Thoughts - Are your thoughts positive or negative? Our thoughts have an impact on every cell of our body, positively or negatively.
Sleep - Are you getting enough sleep? What are your sleeping patterns like? Are you sleeping in accordance with the circadian rhythm?
Breathing Patterns - Are you breathing correctly? Inverted breathing patterns lead to postural imbalances and the body to become sluggish and stagnant. Learn how correct breathing patterns can improve your health.
Hydration - Are your drinking enough water for your body weight? What is the quality of the water like that you are drinking?
Diet - How are you feeding your body? Are you eating right for your individual body type? Food can be your medicine or your poison.
Movement - Are you moving enough? Or could you be overdoing it? Over exercising can have as much of a negative impact to our health as under exercising.
Addressing the above factors will help to reduce inflammation in the body - reducing the risk of injury and dis-ease, helping clients to regain optimum health and reach their goals. You will learn why every meal, every bout of exercise and every late night has a hormonal consequence.
Becky will provide you with a series of questionnaires before your sessions commence. This is to enable Becky to see what is going on in your body as well as your life. Once Becky has had time to analyse the completed questionnaires, your 1:1 sessions will begin.
